Last night (6/30/07) I set up a mirror for a blog that was intended only for a particular mirror feed. After about 20 minutes, it showed up where it should have. This morning I went to look at it, and there was nothing there. What does this mean????

I set up the same feed in My Reader and it is pulling successfully and the content is there. According to the Blog Mirror in the Control Panel the feed has been pulled just about 30 minutes ago, but still nothing shows up in the blog. The site is still there although there doesn't seem to be any new content ..... is the old stuff just deleted ???

Well I know it's not deleted. When I go into the Control Panel, I can see all the content list there but none of it is showing up in the Blog. Now I am really confused. I can view each post in the All Posts listings. Each post has been marked as published yet not see ANYTHING on the individual blog's roll. Note that I do not want this mirror to show up in the site aggregate .... just the targeted blog.

I have checked the there is nothing indicated on the Exception Report or the Event Logs. All indications are that the feed is being successfully pulled.

I have been all through the forums and help but cannot find anything.

I have GOT to be doing something wrong ... leaving out a   step or something!!!! Wht is it???

I think that I am missing something, but I cannot figure out what it is.

Thanks,

ChuckS

Hi Chuck,

Since you can see the posts in your blog control panel, the content is there and has not been deleted. It sounds like the Aggregate settings are causing the posts to not show up on your blog home page.

Can you check the setting "New posts are displayed on my blogs home page" for those posts?  To do this, edit a post, check the advanced settings checkbox, and then the advanced tab.   You can also change the default value of this post setting in the Default Post Settings page in your Blogs Control Panel.

I turned off the setting in the Control Panel to not have blog content to be part of the group aggregate. I want it to show up only in the blog. The Default Post setting had been set to display only to the blog in question and it has no effect. So.... I created a Post and now I can see everything. Up until that time all that the blog had was external content. I deleted the "dummy post" and the external content is still visible. I don't know what happened but something in the bowels of CS got tickeled and now it is working as I expected.
