Its finally here, a control which you can put in the public sidebar of your gallery, to allow users to add photos to the gallery....  Further, it can override the CS permissions, allowing users, even anonymous users to contribute without needing to give them access to the community server control panel.  Photos can be optionally moderated; but full moderation support requires that you customize your gallery or wait for CS 2.1 SP3.

 Dan, Thanks!

It seems your readme is corrupted though.

could you pass it along?

Thanks!

Here is the readme, the file may have been in office 2007 format.

Please also note, that the current version does not support gallery quotas, I will need to release an update, likely when CS 2007 and Johnny SP3 ships.

I really need to be able to allow my users to upload pictures.

Thanks in advance.

http://communityserver.org/files/folders/add-ons/entry574111.aspx has been updated to version CS 2.1.2007.0516

Update 20070516 - I updated the control for CS 2.1 SP3, Including support for gallery quotas.  In addition the control now also includes fixes for the AggregatePortalPictureListing (the sidebar picutre list), the GallerySlideshowHandler, and the AggregateUpdatedGalleriesListing (the galleries home page) to honor the "post level default" "Publish to sites aggregate list" setting which was never fully implemented in CS Galleries.  And finally, I included a novelty, a remake of Jose Lemas ImageToText CSModule, as an updated GalleryImage control.  The source for these are included in the zip.

This control is for CS 2.1 only and will not work with CS 2007 (I just need to package the new release, I should have it up shortly)

You can see / test the control in action at http://blog.danbartels.com/photos/QuickAdd/

How much is "shortly"? I know you probably are pretty busy but can you please make this effort? A lot of people are waiting for you control. Thanks.

Dan,

I don't want to be pushy but I have a project due shortly and it hinges on this add-on. Can you give me an idea when you could have it done so I can plan accordingly?
