Here is my answer, use other software. This is pretty much unacceptable, that it can't do this most basic task. So far, I'm not impressed with CS.
If you ever figured it out let me know, I have the same issue and I'm about to dump this.
Is your WH4L server the "value-added" kind where WH4L installs it? Do you know what version it is? Can you provide a url?

This is a known bug I am trying to get resolved I have seen this on both CS 2007 and 2007.1

Any word on this?
I've enabled anonymous posting on the forums and in teh general site settings but there is no anonymous option when creating a thread or replying to one.
any ideas? On CS2007.
Danielrae Hi,
This is still being worked on and I hope the team will have a fix soon.
OK cheers for the update.
I was having a paly about with the settings and anonymous posting appears to work for me when it's enabled in individual forums.

In CS 2007 I can only see an option to "Allow anonymous posting" in the Global Forum Settings - how do you do it on a per forum basis?
We are using the AD integration module with CS so users are logged in automatically using their Windows domain account. Sometimes though we want them to be able to post anonymously.
Can anyone share their experience enabling this or is it just not possible at the moment?
I have anonymous posting enabled. I think I had to go into the settings for every forum and then tick "allow anonymous posting" in the advanced tab as well as the basic tab.

My problem now is that there is no clear way to explicitly post anonymously when already logged in. As the users are being logged in using single sign-n there would need to be some kind of log-out step but there isn't.
I looked on the post 'Options' tab hoping to see a tick box 'Post anonymously' or the like...but there don't seem to be any options to select anonymous posting.
I have the option above, which says "do not display my personal information..." Which makes the post anonymous.
I don't use single-sign on though!

Perhaps it doesn't work with SSO if I can't see it.
Hmmm
for me, it's whenever I create a new post (reply or new thread), under the options tab - can you see my attached screenshot above?
