There are about 7 weeks or so left in the Community Server Theme Extravaganza. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, we extended the initial deadline to give folks a little more time to work on their entries.

We also felt that we could do a couple of things to make it even easier on our users to submit entries. The first of which I am happy to announce today.

Introducing: Themes.CommunityServer.org:

Themes.CommunityServer.org is a version of Community Server which allows you the end user to build your own dynamic theme without the need to install Community Server (although we still highly recommend downloading and installing it ). You can do anything an admin theming her own site can do:

• Customize colors, fonts, layouts
• Add/remove images
• Manually override CSS
• Export it and share it with friends (and submit it to the Theme Extravaganza!)

While we hope this is super simple, we have also have a detailed overview of what all the various pieces mean and how to best use them.

If you have not had time to setup Community Server 2007 and really want a chance to win a new MacBook (or XBox 360 elite) now is your chance to make a submission.

For the developers out there who want to get their hands a little more dirty, we should have something very interesting for you in another week or so!
